Before ordering your skip
Before ordering your skip please make sure you have sufficient access to the property.
How to Choose the Right Skip Size
The capacity of skips are measured in cubic yards. One cubic yard is approximately equivalent to the size of a standard washing machine or a similar household appliance.
If the volume of your waste material, when compacted, is about the size of 8 washing machines, you would need an 8-yard skip.
Our Skip Selector tool can assist you in finding the appropriate skip size based on the type and volume of your waste.
What does the skip hire cost include?
Easy Skip’s skip hire covers delivery, collection, and disposal of the waste.
Can I specify a skip delivery time?
You can specify a time in the Order Notes in the checkout section.
Can I put a skip on the road outside my property?
Yes, you can usually place a skip on the road if you have insufficient space on your property.
However, you will need a skip permit from the council. The largest skip permitted on the road is typically 8 yards.
For more information and advice, visit our skip permit page.
What access does a skip lorry need to deliver my skip?
If you plan to place a skip on your property, our lorries require a minimum of 10 feet wide access.
My property has restricted access, is that a problem?
Our drivers are highly skilled, and our trucks are equipped with the latest technology to handle deliveries to complicated locations.
If you have concerns regarding access, please use WhatsApp. It is sometimes helpful to send photos of your driveway and note any concerns

How long can I hire a Skip For?
At Easy Skips, we offer flexible hire periods. On average, most customers rent a skip for 7 to 14 days
This period can often be extended if needed. Always let us know within the Order Notes if you plan on longer hire periods.
What to do if you overfill a Skip
Your skip must be ‘level loaded,’ meaning it should not overflow. Our drivers cannot take skips filled higher than the skip walls.
If your skip is overflowing, the driver will ask you to remove some excess waste before removing the skip.
If you think your waste is close to the limit of the skip, we always recommend opting for a skip size larger than you think you might need.
